Happy New Year’s Eve! I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to end the year than with a fun eyeshadow look. If you’re in need of some makeup inspiration, here’s a smokey purple and glitter filled eyeshadow look for New Years 2018.
Each year I love to come up with fun makeup looks for the Holiday season, and yet I’m really just stunting because I usually/always stay in! Ha ha! I do enjoy using the downtime to play with with my makeup. Playing with makeup is and will always be a way to self-soothe. Makeup, warm coffee and a podcast? Yes!!!
Purple eyeshadow is and will always be a favorite color to play with and glitter is my love language – this look is my idea of makeup fun to the max! I used the Urban Decay On The Run Mini Palette in Bailout for most of this look and started out by Placing Faith in the crease of my lid.
I layered a couple of purples for this look and started with Sydney Grace Deliverer single eyeshadow on the inner and outer corner of my eyes to create a halo.
I deepened the purple with Vice from the Bailout palette and also added it to the lower lash line.
For the glitter I used Pixi Beauty Liquid Fairy Lights in BareBrilliance. I placed the color with the doe foot applicator and patted it in with my finger on the middle of my lid.
The look is finished with Skimp from the Bailout palette on my browbone and inner lid and Urban Decay 24/ Glide On Liner in Smoke, which is my favorite charcoal colored liner of all time.
I used L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Mascara and NYX Brow Mascara in Blonde to complete the look.
I put up a look back at 2018 on Instagram and have pinned it to my Instagram Stories if you’re interested in taking a look. Painted Ladies is entering year 10 in 2019 – wow! For those of you who have been part of the Painted Ladies family this year (and beyond) thank you so much. I appreciate you and am looking forward to creating more with you!
