Just when I declared that I have never found a budget eye primer that lets my eyeshadow be great, one happens to fall right on my doorstep.
Just like Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance, Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer is a lightweight primer that helps make your shadow endure many hours. The texture is pretty much identical between the two brands, with just a slight color difference.
Prestige’s primer is a tad lighter than Too Faced’s, which is a putty color.
Here are the two primers blended in a little bit more.
With a shadow on top of the primers, you can’t even tell that there’s a difference.
And now for the big challenge, the primers before and after. Here’s Prestige, which managed to endure a wild trip to the beach.

Pretty awesome. The differences are very slight, and I’ll officially call Prestige Primed & Ready a dupe for Too Faced Shadow Insurance at half the price. You can find Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer at Ulta for around $10.

What a great find, and for such a great price!
It’s seriously awesome!
I do the same thing – try things on different eyes or side of my face. I’m impressed with the Prestige, I didn’t know it existed.
I’ve been using it for about a month now and I’m a total convert. I even use it under my eyes to lock in my concealer.
It’s also a dupe for Benefit Stay Don’t Stray.
It is so great .- I like your idea of putting it under concealer!
