Just when I declared that I have never found a budget eye primer that lets my eyeshadow be great, one happens to fall right on my doorstep.
Just like Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance, Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer is a lightweight primer that helps make your shadow endure many hours. The texture is pretty much identical between the two brands, with just a slight color difference.
Prestige’s primer is a tad lighter than Too Faced’s, which is a putty color.
Here are the two primers blended in a little bit more.
With a shadow on top of the primers, you can’t even tell that there’s a difference.
And now for the big challenge, the primers before and after. Here’s Prestige, which managed to endure a wild trip to the beach.

Pretty awesome. The differences are very slight, and I’ll officially call Prestige Primed & Ready a dupe for Too Faced Shadow Insurance at half the price. You can find Prestige Primed & Ready Eye Primer at Ulta for around $10.
*Provided for consideration. Opinions are my own.
What a great find, and for such a great price!
It’s seriously awesome!
I do the same thing – try things on different eyes or side of my face. I’m impressed with the Prestige, I didn’t know it existed.
I’ve been using it for about a month now and I’m a total convert. I even use it under my eyes to lock in my concealer.
It’s also a dupe for Benefit Stay Don’t Stray.
It is so great .- I like your idea of putting it under concealer!
Do tell, what is that lovely blue shadow in the fifth picture?
I’ve been using the Too Faced Color Correcting Shadow Insurance (I have blepharitis/red eyelids). I have found over the month I’ve been wearing it, that it migrates from my eyelids into my eyes leaving a greasy film on my contact lenses. Very annoying. Does the Prestige stay put? Is it drying? tyvm
It does stay put, I have never had a problem with migration. 🙂
Ruby, it’s Milani’s Just Perfect Powder Eyeshadow.
