When I come across any makeup product that strikes my fancy and is priced at less than $5, I find myself unable to resist. Such is the case with e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium, which at $3 is a great price for similar products marked at $20 and above by higher end brands.
Call me the Doubting Thomas of budget beauty, but as irresistible as I find cheap cosmetics, I always have the thought that said products won’t work at all. Why I buy them, I have no idea, but I’d say there’s definitely a thrill factor involved.
Lately I’ve been using a brow pencil to fill in and shape my brows, and I was looking forward to trying this product, which is new to me. e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit contains a tinted brow wax and a brow powder in complimentary shades. In retrospect, I probably should have picked up the Dark rather than the Medium, but this actually worked out quite nicely.
Application is a snap, and all you’ll need is angled brow brush and a spoolie to blend in the colors. I use a dual-sided brush from Stila that has an angled end as well as a brush on the other side.
Step 1: Use the angled brush with the brow wax to define the shape of your brows. I add a thin line right under the inner corner of my eye and extend it out to the end of the brow.
Step 2: Use the angled brush to add brow powder, filling in any gaps.
Step 3: Use a spoolie or brow brush to blend the powder throughout the brow.
My Final Thoughts: Since eyes are windows to the soul, then it’s important to keep their frames, eyebrows, in great shape. If you’re looking for a product to help shape your brows and fill in patchy areas, you’ll really like e.l.f. Studio Eyebrows Kit, which is available in 4 different shades to fit any brow need and lasts all day. It’s a bargain win!
