Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo, T-Tree Cream Glosser, and Hair Mayonnaise Make Happy Curls Happen

Press Sample

By Sheila Arkee

Lately my curls have been extra bouncy, defined, and all-together extremely happy. As anyone with curly hair can tell you, when the state of curl happiness occurs, it’s a good, good, good, good thing! I have 3 products from Parnevu to thank for this: Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo, Hair Mayonnaise, and T-Tree Cream Glosser.

Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise Parnevu T-Tree Cream Glosser 2

There are no instruction manuals that come along when you’re born with curly hair, which is unfortunate because it can mean years of frizz and pain until you figure out techniques and products that work with your hair type. Of course, hair care products and curl awareness have come a long way in recent times. I grew up in a world of frizz and embarrassment, wanting to deny my curls and get a relaxer more than anything!  These days I see curly headed little girls all the time with the most incredibly defined, glossy curls and it makes me appreciate the progress in the hair care industry.

Parnevu’s mission is to create confidence building products to help hair that is dry, damaged, and over-processed. If you wear weaves or have chemical processes in your hair, these are especially for you. However, all hair care types would benefit from these specially formulated shampoos, conditioners, and styling aids. If anything, my curls tend to be dry and full of split ends, so they need some tender loving care and nurturing to be at their best. I’ve tried products from their Extra Dry Hair line before, and looked forward to trying their T-Tree items.

Parnevu’s T-Tree Shampoo ($6) claims to lock in moisture and eliminate flakes with the benefit of Australian T-Tree Oil, which is known to help heal a variety of skin conditions. This shampoo works on both counts and does not make my hair feel stripped or dry at all.

Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo 2

Ingredients:  Water (Aqua, Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Decyl Gucoside, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Lauramide DEA, Glycol Stearate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Polyquaternium-10, Equisetum Arvense Extract, Salvia Officinailis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Fragrance (Parfum), Citric Acid, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Disodium EDTA Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Green 3 (CI 42053).

Parnevu T-Tree Cream Glosser ($6.50) is one I had my doubts about.I wasn’t sure if this would be able to control my curls, but I was wrong – it adds a nice amount of hold and sheen. No complaints at all and I’m even using it on my straight-haired son (don’t ask me how that happened).

Parnevu T-Tree Cream Glosser 1

Ingredients: Water (Aqua, Eau), Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Polyacrylamide, C13-14, Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconal, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Alumina, Titanium Dioxide, Panthenol, Dimethicone PEG-7 Olivate, Dimethicone PEG-8 Meadowfoamate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Fragrance (Parfum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Cinnamidopropyl Trimonium Chloride.

Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise  ($7) is part of the Extra Dry product collection  and it’s pretty much perfect. I was expecting to smell actual mayonnaise (silly me), but it’s just a really nourishing conditioner that anyone with dry hair will absolutely adore.

Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise 2

Hair Mayonnaise is enriched with olive oil, egg protein, and African herbs, and it’s gentle enough to be  used every day without leaving hair greasy. Huge win. Huge!

Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise

Ingredients: Water, Olive Oil, Glycerin, Cetearyl alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Polyquaternium-37, Dimethicone, Laneth-15, Cetyl alcohol, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Isostearamidopropyl laurylacetodimonium chloride, Albumen (egg protein), Cholesterol, Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E), Retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), dl-Panthenol (vitamin B5), PEG-8 dimethiconol olivate, Carrot oil, Stinging Nettle (urtica dioica), Sage (salvia officinalis), Rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis), Watercress (nasturtium officinale), Irish Moss (chondrus crispus), Coltsfoot (tussilago farfara), Burdock (arctium lappa), Elder flower (sambucus nigra), DMDM Hydantoin, BHA, BHT, Benzophenone-4, Fragrance, FD&C yellow #6 (CI15985), D&C orange #4 (CI15510).

My Final Thoughts:

Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo, T-Tree Cream Glosser, and Hair Mayonnaise have added renewed life and vitality to my curls.  Although the scent of the shampoo might be a bit strong to some, it doesn’t bother me. Parnevu products are affordable and will be a part of my hair care routine for a long time to come.

Your hair looks fab!! The Hair Mayonnaise did wonders for my curls. Usually once they dry, the feel very birds-nesty but the mayo softened them and defined them! I enjoyed the T-Tree shampoo because I get dandruff and this helped keep it at bay between using medicated shampoos.

PS. that’s such a great picture of you! You are gorgeous!

You look gorgeous! I think I should invest in the hair mayonnaise, I’m still trying to get my hair back to a healthy state and this could be a good product to have on hand! Now if only they’d make something to make my super straight blah hair magically turn into your gorgeous curls, I’d be a happy gal!

Hair mayo, LAWL! Too funny! I wish I had natural curls, your look lovely!

  • marciaf

Your hair looks stunning. I laughed when I saw the name hair mayo especially since my husband has an aversion to mayo. He’d leap out of the shower just seeing that.

  • MyNewestAddiction

I have seen a lot of posts about this T-Tree line lately and I must say that I want it! Your hair looks beautiful! 😀

I’m so glad you included a pix. I’m Latina and have curly hair – at least three different textures of it. I also grew up where mousse was the only thing available to me – or, later, products meant for African hair. I’m so grateful for curly products now, but even with all of them out there, not all of them work the same (or at all) I like the Deva Curl line, but it’s so expensive. I need to try these!

  • FabZilla_Kath

I love your curls! And that necklace looks gorg! Like you, I like this T-tree collection except the scent.

It’s funny that the mayonnaise conditioner looks just like homemade mayo :) Your curls look adorable, by the way!
