The products featured in Painted Ladies Weekly Blog Recap for April 15, 2018 were purchased by me or provided for editorial consideration. All opinions are 100% my own.
It was a week of firsts here at Painted Ladies. Not only did I make my first gown reservation through Rent The Runway, but I also made my first dress purchase (and return!) on Amazon. Two different ends of the spectrum, two interesting experiences!
Next Friday I’m off to a gala in Beverly Hills thanks to my friend Deb who runs the Fashion Flash weekly blog roundups and giveaways. I’m so excited I’m actually able to go to the event and that child care has lined up! I was planning on wearing something from my closet, but given the fact that these kinds of events don’t just happen all the time, I decided to go for Rent The Runway. I’ll be covering the experience when all is said and done – so far, it’s been easy peasy and I’m looking forward to seeing the dress and backup dress I selected for this event. I’ve been posting dress options on Instagram Stories and will be updating the event on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Now, for the other side of the spectrum. I’ve been yearning for an olive green ruched dress akin to this fabulous sheath by Leith that I own in black. They don’t have this dress in olive/army green I’m thinking of, so I ordered an olive green ruched dress from Amazon that didn’t quite turn out to my expectations! Ha ha! It’s all good and Amazon’s return process is very simple and easy. Basically all I have to do is take the dress to a Kohl’s that accepts Amazon returns and show them a bar code on my phone!
Now, on to the week in review here on Painted Ladies.
ColourPop Lux Lipstick is excellent and I’m definitely nabbing more shades.
You know, I really wanted to dislike the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter, but it’s fabulous and a must have.
Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster is in my skincare lineup at the moment.
The Spring Sephora Sale has arrived and I share my product picks.
The book Love Your Age by my fellow Fashion Flash-er Barbara Hannah Grufferman is excellent. She really did a fantastic job producing this well-researched book.
The April 2018 Boxycharm landed at Painted Ladies HQ’s and it’s a winner!
Here’s to a blessed, abundant and beauty-full week!
