About 6 or 7 months ago there was great turmoil in the beauty blogosphere when Maybelline discontinued the Dream Mousse line of blushes. I never got around to trying those products, but being the blush addict that I am, I got REALLY excited to come across the product that Maybelline has come out with to replace them with.
I always enjoy gimmicky packaging and new textures and formulas I’ve never seen before. It’s just a plus when both of those aspects make a good product. The product itself is domed and has a texture like Play Doh. When you press it down it’s like a memory foam pillow. It’s easily the most bizarre drugstore product I have ever seen.
After watching a few Youtube reviews and seeing that the shades tend to run sheer and go on looking more like a tint. I decided that I’d try a bright peach shade called Peach Satin. I may be mistaken but I **think** there was also a Peach Satin in the Dream Mousse line. There’s no shimmer in it, however it seems to leave a luminous finish- which you don’t see with cheek stains.
Maybelline is KILLING it with their new products lately.
Are there any new drugstore products that you’re excited about?

That looks worth a try!
In the drugstore world, I am really enjoying (like, it seems, everyone else is) the Revlon Lip Butters. They’re very comfortable to wear and I like the richness of the pigment in a sheerer formula. I’ve had a few misses in terms of color choice, but they’re inexpensive enough that I don’t mind too much.
I’ve got the coral one which is a beautiful peach and the one called Pink Plum. I really like both colors. Applying it can be tricky, my regular blush brush doesn’t do the trick.
Try applying with a denser brush or your fingers. Personally I don’t like applying product with my hands so ive been using my real techniques contouring brush, and that’s perfect.
