Ok, ladies, do yourselves a favor and make it your mission to hunt down and own Revlon’s new Colorburst Lip Butters.
The packaging isn’t as substantial as say, a Dior or even a MAC product, but the product within is worth the price and then some. I have to say I think Candy Apple is my new favorite lip color. So chic and the perfect pick-me-up shade.
Concoted with jojoba oil, shea butter, mango seed oil, and coconut oil, the Lip Butters are moisturizing, nicely pigmented, and have crazy staying power. I found the texture to be similar to CoverGirl’s Natureluxe Gloss Lip Balms and MAC’s Sheen Supreme lippies but with a little more “heft”. I didn’t experience any peeling or fading away.
The Lip Butters aren here to stay, bu they’re not part of the permanent Revlon displays quite yet, so you’ll need to do some searching around the new product displays at your local drugstore. It took trips to several Rite Aids before I was able to hunt down my Lip Butter.
The downside? With no swatches available at the display it is impossible to tell what the colors look like, which is either awful or a genius marketing ploy on Revlon’s part. It worked! At around $7 and with various drugstore deals going around, I see several more of these in my near future.
