Confession: Although it took quite a while, I recently came out from under years of concealer snobbery. It’s true. Wanting to find an alternative to MAC concealers that had dominated my makeup kit for well over a decade, I gave NYX Cosmetics a chance, first with their Incredible Waterproof Concealer and now with their HD Photogenic Concealer.
The Incredible Waterproof Concealer has rocked my world with its awesomeness since day one, and I am proud to say that the same sentiment applies to NYX’s HD Photogenic Concealer, which I like even more than the Waterproof concealer.
With a doe-foot applicator, NYX’s HD Concealer has a lightweight, creamy texture that blends into your skin right away.
The texture is what does it for me – it’s unlike any other concealer I’ve ever used and I think the pink undertone of this particular shade is perfect for my under eye area.
The only complaint I have is with the limited shade selection available and the fact it’s impossible to choose a shade if you’re buying NYX at an Ulta store. I chose a shade down from the Incredible Waterproof Concealer because this shade, Medium, has just a tad more pink.
My Final Thoughts: NYX continues to prove that it’s the budget-friendly line to beat with some very high quality products. NYX’s HD Photogenic Concealer is worth a look if you’re in the market for a creamy concealer that blends in and will last until you remove your makeup.
Rating: A -, because it really should be sold with some kind of a shrink wrap around in!!!
Price: $4.99, available in-stores and online at Ulta.
