NYX Cosmetics Rouge Cream Blush Review

By Wendy Larson

The NYX Rouge Cream Blushes are by far my favorites out of the products I tried, although I have to admit being a little scared of them at first. Cream blushes and cheek stains are favorite products of mine, because I think that they give off the most natural look.

I tried Golden (which is more of a brown gold with gold glitter), and Orange (which is a neon “wear this color so you don’t get shot in the woods” ORANGE with no glitter).

Golden would look stunning as a cheek highlight in anyone who isn’t paler than Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the Vampire….aka me. However I’m so light that it actually works as a natural looking color that’s similar to my freckles.  I’m not a fan of shimmer in blush but the shimmer in this is more of a candle lit glow than a disco ball.

Orange is my least favorite color in the rainbow, however “Orange” is the first blush I’ve found that I can actually say is perfect for me. When blended out with a brush with a light hand it goes from scary neon to the exact color I turn after a brisk walk around the lake.

I found both colors to glide on like silk and blend effortlessly. Orange seems to last longer (even though they both have great staying power) just by virtue of the fact that it also stains the skin.  I do have combo/oily skin and they still stay on all day. The swatches are a bit blurry but you get the idea of the color intensity.  Orange is
on the left and Golden is on the right.

Overall rating:  A+++++  Once again, I can’t find anything wrong with them.  I like the formula a lot more than the NYC Bendable Blush Sticks.    Find these anywhere you buy Nyx products, like Ulta, Nyxcosmetics.com, or Cherryculture.com.
