The Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix featured in this post were provided for editorial consideration. All opinions are 100% my own.
What’s full of shimmer, high gloss and stunning holographic color effects? Why that would be the Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix. And my, oh, my is that holographic glow something stunning to look at.
The green, gold, blue and purple shifts! My goodness, it’s like looking at the Northern Lights in the form of lip glosses.
The Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix are not new to the Jesse’s Girl brand, a budget friendly brand you can find both at Rite Aid stores and online. I’ve reviewed three shades of the Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix here before. The difference is that the packaging has changed a bit, the price point has gone up, and there are five new shades in the collection.
The names of the new colors are quite celestial and Northern Lights-inspired appropriate. The texture is extremely lightweight, which is a plus if you’re not a fan of heavy lip gloss textures. The biggest downfall of these glosses is that you don’t quite get the same effect on your lips as you see in the tube. I think the texture of the gloss needs to be a bit thicker in order for that to happen.
For these swatches I applied each lip gloss on top of Jesse’s Girl Lipstick in Victoria. These are creamy new lipsticks I’ll be featuring very soon. The swatches below are all in order of the swatches and lineup in the above photos.
Here is Victoria alone.
My Final Thoughts: Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix sure are pretty to look at in the tube. I like that the gloss has a lightweight texture. The big downfall, in my opinion? I sure do wish the holographic effect was a bit more visible on my lips and as dramatic worn as they are in the tubes.
