My Minx Nails Experience

By Sheila Arkee

Minx Nails are so easy and foolproof, even I can successfully apply them.

I’m a klutz when it comes do doing  nails and go through long periods of not even bothering with polish. That’s the genius of nail stickers like Minx. In a matter of minutes you can have really pretty nails, without a risk of smudging or that annoying period to wait for your nails to dry.

The Minx nail treatments are typically done in salons and involve the use of heaters to make the stickers adhere. It’s the same technology used to apply stickers to racing cars!

Now, it’s easier than ever to get the Minx look at home. There are 8 designs by Minx #1 that are available at Ulta stores, with new ones coming out quarterly. A complete set of fingers and toes is priced at $18.00, and the self-applied Minx #1 is distinctively different from the Professional Minx formula sold to salons.

I chose the Gold Moon design and applying them was so easy. The packets come with two alcohol wipes you use on clean nails to help with adhesion. You match up the stickers to your nail size, and if you need to to you can trim the stickers to fit your nails. Simply warm up the rub the nail sticker to warm it up, peel off the packaging, and place it on your nails.

To get rid of the excess, use a fine nail file with downward motions at the edge of your nails.

I threw these on and probably could have taken a bit more care with applying them, and was still pleasantly surprised by the finished look. These make life easier! Minx #1 lasted until I was tired of them, even through showers, and they weren’t any trouble to peel off and remove.

The other Minx #1 designs available at Ulta include:

·         Silver Moons

·         Gold Moons

·         Wild Pink Cheetah

·         Triangle Tango

·         Diamond Diabolique

·         Summer Splash

·         Technical Tribal

·         MinxLusion Chex

The designs aren’t on Ulta’s site yet, but you can find them in-stores.
