Jurlique is a natural, cruelty-free Australian skin care company that evokes sweet memories of past days.
It’s funny how you can think back on life and see how things came together just as they were supposed to. Back in my single and childless days I lived in the West side of Los Angeles. It wasn’t half as glamorous as it seems – my overpriced studio was a roach motel and the parking/traffic is just plain awful.
Still, I adored living in a highly walkable area and would often take a short trip to Santa Monica to enjoy the sites and window shop.
Back then I was working full time as a makeup artist and hung out with two friends who were a school psychologist and speech therapist. Little did I know that in a handful of years I would be dealing with speech therapists and school psychologists with my child, but thats part of the wonder of life.
On our window shopping excursions we would pop into the Jurlique store to stock up on essentials and samples. I came to know and love Jurlique and was excited when recently given the opportunity to use items from their Rose Moisture Plus line.
All Jurlique skin care products are plant-based and contain organically grown herbs and essential oils. The Rose Moisturising Plus line contains rose essential oils that make the creams smell incredible.
Moisturising Cleanser
Of the products I tried I liked this one the least. This rich, foaming cleanser contains bits of pumice but it is not for eye makeup, which is a bummer as I prefer cleansers that can remove all of your makeup concerns.
Antioxidant Gel Mask
On the other side of the spectrum is this lighweight gel mask that is my official new favorite thing.
It contains small Vitamin E beads that are released upon application. This mask feels so soothing and you can’t ask for a better treat on a hot day. Keep it in the refrigerator for a little extra refreshment.
Moisturising Cream
While this rich cream looks like it might be a bit too rich, it soaks right into your skin. Lovely on top of retinols, which I’ve been doing at night. This cream contains green tea, Avocado and Rosehip Oils
Rosewater Balancing Mist
This spray contains glycerin and Marshmellow, along with Rose and Aloe Vera to soothe your skin.
Use this sweet smelling mist under makeup to help balance your skin, to refresh your skin during the day, or to set your skin after applying makeup.
