There’s lip balms, lipsticks, lip glosses, lip stains, liquid lipsticks and so many options when it comes to picking out lip products. So many! Lately I’ve been loving on lip crayons pretty hard and wanted to share a few of my must have favorites.
My very first experience with lip crayons goes all the way back to my days in college when Clinique released their Chubby Lip Pencils. Remember those? Oh, I was so intrigued and impressed and remember pining over them for months before I either purchased one or received a gift with purchase. There was a Clinique counter in my university’s bookstore and you can only imagine the amount of time I spent hanging around and trying things out. Those lip crayons were a bit on the dry side and I’m reminded now how much things have changed. Today’s lip crayons have balm-y textures and offer lots of moisture along with a great dose of color.
Hourglass Lip Stylo’s are some of my favorites, for sure. They’ve got that elegant Hourglass design going on, which is always lovely. Plus, the product delivers long-wearing moisture and gorgeous color. The lipstick doesn’t have to be sharpened, you just twist it up from the base, which is a huge plus.
I picked up Inventor and Achiever recently – swatches are right here.
Nudestix Mystic Lip + Cheek Pencil has been a favorite lately, mostly because the color is so great! I use it exclusively as a lip color and love that it’s the perfect “your lip but better” color.
Sistar Cosmetics Velveteer Lip Crayons are my new favorites, and I’m in love with Nude. This lip crayon is very cushy and I love that it’s a budget friendly option.
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayons are true superstars and I can’t get over how well they work. Truly.
Not only are they smooth and non-drying, but they last all the live long day and then some. Without drying out your lips, might I repeat! When I meet Mr. Right and remarry, I’m wearing the exact lip pencil I’m wearing in this photo from The Makeup Show LA.
Do you use lip crayons? What are some of your favorites?
