While on a recent trip to Walmart, I came upon a display of new makeup brushes that clearly said, “Buy me!” The Moda Pro Makeup Brushes By Royal & Langnickel are brand new to Walmart stores and after spending some time with a few of these colorful makeup tools, I’ve fallen in love.
Any trip to any mass market retailer involves a thorough inspection of their makeup aisle. You never know what new drugstore beauty product is hidden around any corner! I’m glad I spent a little extra time at the Walmart brush section, because the Moda Pro Makeup Brushes By Royal & Langnickel have proven to be well worth their extremely reasonable price range of $19.99 and under.
There are a wide variety of makeup tools in the vegan and cruelty-free Moda line, and you can purchase brushes separately or in sets that focus on eyes and face.
Unable to resist any kind of buffing brush, the Moda Complexion Brush ($7.99)was a must have.
This brush is compact and blends my base flawlessly. The pink is too cute and the good news is that none of the colors fade upon being washed. The acrylic brush handles are coated with Silk-Touch™ which keeps them waterproof and durable.
As an eyeshadow fanatic, I’m really loving the Moda EZglam Duo Smoky Eyes brushes ($7.99).
These brushes come with a little insert with application tips.
I actually have to give these brushes big props because they are easy to use and blend out eyeshadow beautifully. This brush is great for applying color to the lid.
And this dual-sided brush is great for placing color at the outer corner of the lids and then blending it out.
The Moda EZglam Duo Flawless Face brushes ($9.99) are an excellent value and also come with a booklet with application tips.
They are soft. Oh, so soft. So supple. I can hardly believe they’re made of synthetic fibers, but they are, and they do an excellent job. You can use the duo fiber brush for foundation or cream blush, and the powder foundation for any powder products.
So, how do Moda Pro Makeup Brushes By Royal & Langnickel compare to similarly priced Real Techniques brushes? Having used both, I have to say the Moda brushes are a little softer and feel a little more firm than the Real Techniques brushes I use. Because I believe that there’s not such thing as too many makeup brushes, I will say that they’re both good beauty tools to have in their own ways.
My Final Thoughts: In the time I’ve been spending with the Moda Pro Makeup Brushes By Royal & Langnickel, I’ve found that they remain soft after washing, do not shed, and do a wonderful job blending makeup. I’m definitely heading back to Walmart for more!
