Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation Is A Perfect Match For My Skin

By Sheila Arkee

When it comes to powder foundations, I’ve always turned up  my nose. Partly because my main experience was with MAC’s Studio Fix, which didn’t love my skin as much as I wished it would. Studio Fix does work for many individuals, I’m just not one of them.

I’ve always been after a pressed powder foundation, never being quite able to find the perfect one that wouldn’t leave my face looking chalky or slide off my face. Then Milani’s Even-Touch Powder Foundation came along.

Unlike MAC’s Studio Fix, Even-Touch Powder Foundation is made from micronized pigments that allow this powder to glide on to your skin like butter. I’d say its most similar to MAC’s Studio Careblend Pressed Powder, but with more coverage.

The compact comes with a handy, hidden lower level for a sponge, and the outer packaging is sleek and sophisticated, something you’d definitely feel proud of toting around. Can we just have a big group “hurrah” for how awesome Milani is?

Even-Touch Powder Foundation has a talc base and is oil-free. You can apply it with the enclosed sponge or a brush. I’ve been using a kabuki brush with excellent results.

The final verdict? Lovely. My skin looks like my skin, just more even without any kind of a powdery edge. With my normal-to-oily skin, I was exceedingly pleased to see that the foundation wears well through the day, with no need to touch up.

As far as my color match goes, I love, love, love that Beige is perfect for my skin tone. Although I most often use foundations with an olive base, my skin has a lot of pink in it, so the touch of pink in Beige is perfect. I had to do some guess work on which shade would work best for me, but Milani makes the process easier with an online matching guide.

Here’s a peek at the entire range of shades in Even-Touch.

Milani’s Even-Touch Powder Foundation retails for $7.99, making it a major steal. You can find Milani Cosmetics at select CVS and Walgreens stores and online.

Looks like a great powder foundation, love that it is invisible on!

I bought this today because of this review, and I can’t wait to try it. I’ve realized that my skin is more combination/oily than I probably wanted to admit, so I’m going to try some powders instead of liquid foundations.
I feel like my local Walgreens is so slow on the Milani front. We don’t have the single, one color eyeshadows yet, which I reeeeally want to try. We also have a super limited color selection. There were 4 shades of Even Touch foundation to choose from. Four!! So sad. Luckily I found one that should match.
    Thanks for the review!!
