A liquid lip crayon? How could it be? And could it possibly be any good? At $26 per pencil, I’d hope so! These are liquid lipsticks in the form of a stick which come with the promise of a 16 hour wear time and the addition of “ghost pearl” to give the lipstick finish an ethereal finish.
The answer is a definite YES. These liquid lip pencils are unique and excellent. There are 10 shades in the collection of Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayons and I received two two review: Pink Straight and Plum N Get It.
I’ve been impressed with the other Marc Jacobs Beauty products I’ve tried in the past (read about the blush and Velvet Noir mascara) and have found the quality lives up to the luxury behind the Marc Jacobs brand.
Here’s a closer look at Pink Straight.
Looking off into the bright future like ….
And let’s get up close and personal with Plum N Get It.
I have to tell you guys something about my hair – we’re going through a rough patch! I’m not sure what it is – the weather? The products I’m using? The water quality at they gym where I wash my hair? All I can tell you is that the top layer ends up totally limp by night time and holding the front part up in these photos is a public service! Ha ha!
My Final Thoughts: I’m definitely enchanted with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayons and am so glad they’re in my life. I have to say I’m enjoying this matte texture more than the Pat McGrath Labs Luxetrance Lipstick I featured a few weeks ago – the Marc Jacobs version has an unique texture that feels smooth, looks matte with a bit of dimension and has a long wear time. The product does last a long time, even when I ate my daily salad that was drenched in olive oil. Drenched! The lipstick faded away in the middle of my lips, and there was an impressive amount left on my lips after all was said and done.
