Making Spring Fashion Fresh With 3-in-1 Tide Pods

For me, a busy blogging mom with a decided artsy side, my daily fashion has to be functional and yet entirely indicative of my creativity. When I’m editing my closet and figuring out what should be tossed and what should be purchased, my main goal is to find pieces that work with each other. One thing I’ve learned through the years is that you really do not need a ton of clothes, just the right items that work with each other and can be combined to form an endless possibility of options.

With spring right around the corner, I’m currently coming up with some fun yet functional wardrobe choices. Much like cooking, or putting together the perfect makeup look, an outfit is made up of several ingredients. My choices for the perfect spring outfit include the following:

-          A tunic that goes right above my knees – zebra printed and sequined, please!

-          A trusted pair of jeans

-          Basic black leggings

-          A ruffled cover-up

-          A fun pair of fuchsia heels

With these basics, I can make 3 fun and functional outfits that work for many occasions.

1. The tunic and heels by themselves are perfect for a nighttime outing.

2. For something I would wear for professional purposes, but to show my artsy side, the tunic, plus the cover-up and leggings.

3. And for a more causal, weekend outfit, the tunic with a pair of jeans is a winning match.

My clothes have to survive the beating of running around after a 5 year old Boy (with a capital B), so it’s really important that I am able to keep them looking good for a long time, with no fuss. If I can throw my clothes in the washer and know they’ll come out looking great, all the better!
