The Makeup Revolution The Emily Edit The Wants Eyeshadow Palette featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
It’s green, smokey, exciting. And yes, I’m talking about this eyeshadow look I created with the new Makeup Revolution The Emily Edit The Wants Eyeshadow Palette.
So, I dug into the palette that I just reviewed with a bit of excitement and anticipation. It’s always fun to spend time exploring new products. I have to say, however, that I was a bit … frustrated at the end. I’m not sure if its the texture of the matte shadows in this palette, my eyelid skin or a combination of both that makes them at odds with each other.
There was a lot of elbow grease involved in making this look work out and to have a properly blended eye look. And, to be honest, the shimmers involve a lot of TLC as well. I found that applying them to my lids with the pads of my fingers worked best to make them show up.
In the end all the elbow grease worked out and both looks turned out nicely, so lets get to the breakdown!
For look 1, I used the following combination on my eyes. The gloss I’m wearing is Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow, FYI.
I started off by applying Hobby in my crease. Next I applied Side Hustle on my inner lid.
Then Corduroy on my outer lid. I placed the color with a flat brush and blended it out with a blending brush. I also placed this color on my lower lid.
Eve Rose goes smack dab in the middle. And the look is finished The Cream in the browbone and with Dark & Early applied as the liner.
For look 2, I kept things burgundy and smokey.
Capricorn is on my outer lid, Grateful is on my inner lid, Pi Phi is on my lower lid and Oh Heavens! is on my brow bone with Corduroy as the liner.
Have you added this palette to your collection? I don’t think it’s a need, to be honest. I wish the shadows were easier to work with! If I ever had the chance to have a collaboration with a budget friendly brand, I’d go for Wet n Wild – wouldn’t that be fun?!
