The Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Eyeshadow Palettes featured in this post were purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
As a certified makeup junkie, f there’s one thing I love about Instagram, it’s the fact that I am literally surrounded by fellow makeup junkies who are always introducing me to cool products. One of my favorite accounts recently posted about the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Newtrals 2 Palette, and I instantly fell in love.
It turns out there are several of these palettes from Makeup Revolution available from Ulta, and so I picked up three of the palettes. They’re priced at $7 each, and thanks to one of Ulta’s amazing promotions I got all three of the palettes for under $15. I picked up Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Division, Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Vitality and Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Newtrals 2.
Admittedly I was wary about these shadows because I haven’t had the greatest experience with Makeup Revolution in the past. From the products I’ve tried, I found the quality to be a mixed bag, but given this exceptional price and the color payoff of the swatches I saw, I was willing to give Makeup Revolution a second chance.
The palettes arrived and I am definitely very impressed with the quality of these shadows. They’re very pigmented and overall easy to work with. Why are are they so good and yet so cheap? A look at the ingredients reveals that kaolin (aka, clay) is up there on the list as well as dimethicone. Both products work together to help boost color payoff on shadows. You might remember I don’t like dimethicone on my face, but I am ok with it on my eyes. Let’s take a closer look at all three palettes.
Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Division – a mix of shimmery shades and matte forest greens, mustard tones and deep blues, this one reminds me a LOT of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette. That chunky green glitter in the middle row? It’s a stunner.
Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Vitality – I don’t have an eye look for this palette just yet. I made one but wasn’t happy with the end result of my work, so it will be coming up soon. This palette is mostly mattes with a couple of shimmers.
Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Newtrals 2 -The palette that got me hooked, these berry, brown and burnt orange tones are just plain gorgeous!
My Final Thoughts: Cheap chic for the win – the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic eyeshadow palettes are worth checking out – they’re very, very nice for the low, low price!
