On the occasions when you need to add a bit of sizzle to your makeup routine, there’s no easier way than with your lips. A dash of bright, glossy color is a sure way to up the ante, and what better way than with a traditional long-wearing lip product.
Make Up For Ever has 12 versatile shades in their newest venture, Aqua Rouge long-wearing lipsicks.
The color side has a doe foot applicator, and the gloss a brush.
This is such a gorgeous yellow-based red, and such a plus that it is long-wearing because otherwise it is a challenge to keep reds on your lips.
This shade was custom designed by Madonna’s makeup artist Gina Brooks, and its the shade she’s been sporting on her current MDNA tour. If this can stand the test of a full-on concert, you know its not half bad.
What a pretty dark rose.
After 4 hours of wear the color is still around and freshens right up with an application of gloss. The wear time is impressive and I find it doesn’t fade with heavy wear, and sticks around as long as you’d like it to.
My final verdict? Aqua Rouge applies smoothly, its highly pigmented, easy to apply, and does not make your lips feel flaky. I’m a fan of these long-wearing stains and love the shades I tried.
You can find all 14 new shades of Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge on September 1st at Sephora.
