Mai Couture Highlighter Papier in St. Barts Review and Swatches

By Sheila Arkee

Mai Couture papier products came onto my radar about 3 years ago when I met the founder, Mai Tran, at The Makeup Show. Back then I was entranced with the idea of high quality, speciality facial papers, and I still am today. Really, what a great idea to make touching up your makeup perfectly portable and pain-free.

Mai’s ingenius blush and bronzer papiers have since become a must-have in the beauty industry and are regularly touted in the media. Mai continues to expand her product range and has just introduced highlighting papiers. These papiers are such a fantastic idea. With a bronzer and blush papiers already available, the highlighting papiers are yet another stroke of genius.

The paraben- and talc-free papiers come in a book of 50 sheets that can be used on your face and body. I love the full attention paid to the little touches in the elegant packaging.

The best part about these papiers is zero powder spillage coming from the packaging. Simply press on your skin and you’re left with long-lasting, subtle glow. St. Barts is the only shade in this Papier so far, and it’s a lovely universal shimmery glow. One sheet is perfect for your face and even for pressing on your décolletage.

Mai Couture products are unique, well-crafted, and fill a gap in the beauty industry, which is something I can truly appreciate.  Mai Couture Highlighting Papiers retail for $28 and can be found online and in select stores.
