For someone who sure used to love the heck out of MAC Cosmetics, it’s funny how my feelings have shifted through the years.

Clearly in luv.
And let me tell you, I used to LUV MAC. Over time, however, I tired of the redundancy in the limited edition madness, the declining product quality, and to be honest, I did not have the greatest experience as a MAC employee. Yes, I am so thankful for the experience I received during the years I was with the company, but it was an unrequited love.
Anyway, I still pop into a MAC Store every now and then to redeem my empty containers for a free eyeshadow, gloss, or lipstick, and I am still entirely dedicated to a few of their products. On a recent visit, I saw a few things that piqued my interest, and I have to say, good job MAC for getting with the program a little bit! There were clear makeup bags, a Beauty Blender dupe, and then amazingly enough concealer palettes!
There are 4 palettes ranging from Light, Medium, Medium Deep, and Dark with 4 concealer shades and two correctors in each palette. Medium Deep and Dark have an orange corrector, included to help blast away dark circles. You can also sheer them out with a moisturizer to make a foundation out of these concealers, giving you more bang for the buck!
I almost fell over when I saw the orange shades, because that is something that is just needed in the beauty industry, period. For years makeup artists have been doing this with orange and red lipsticks, self included. In one of the first Breaking Down Beauty posts (before it was officially Breaking Down Beauty), I demonstrated just how to do that very thing.
It’s a handy palette for makeup artists, and just to have in general. From my understanding, these are a permanent part of the line. Phew! The palettes retail for $40 and are available at your local MAC Store or online.
