So, I have a confession to make. Just a teensy tiny one. And it involves L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza mascara.
If you’ll recall, a couple of weeks ago I was on a rant. I mean, a RANT! with a capital R about what I assumed was the latest and supposedly greatest L’Oreal mascara I’d recently seen in CVS. When I purchased L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess I assumed I had the same mascara I’d seen at CVS – after all, they both have red wands. Innnocent mistake!
L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess was not up to snuff, and so I panned it in a big way (and even made a video about it!) and was as little concerned that L’Oreal had lost it’s mascara touch with this baloney. Then I swung by CVS and realized … I’d panned the wrong mascara. Ha! Ha ha! Ha! The mascara I was highly anticipating was L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza, which is the big sister of the original L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly. And don’t worry, I won’t be giving this baby such a bad review!
The main difference with L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza and the original L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara is in the double wing plastic brush as opposed to one wing in the original.
You’re meant to use both wings separately – the first to add volume to your lashes, and the second to fan out your lashes. The results? Major!
I found this wand to be easy to use and it gave me the results I was searching for, which is some majorly lush lashes that hold a curl and last all day long. Win, win, win, win! Miss Manga still comes first place but this is second, followed by the original Voluminous Butterfly in third. Here’s a comparison between all the L’Oreal Voluminous mascaras:
My Final Thoughts: Looking for dramatic lashes? Pick up a tube of L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza mascara – you will not be disappointed! Clump-free and flake-free, it’s a new must grab of my current mascara collection.
