L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Caring Coral is a Soothing, Cheap Treat

By Sheila Arkee

Oh, Internet lemmings, how you pull me in. Sure, I do my part to enable lemmings, and in return I am pulled in to the latest and the greatest must haves.

For whatever reason, Colour Riche Balms by L’Oreal were available in other parts of the states before Southern California, and as a result I found myself driving from Walgreens to Target to CVS the weeks before the New Year to no avail.

Luckily I found full displays of the brand new L’Oreal products last week and snagged a Colour Riche balm in Caring Coral. With a similar case as the Revlon Lip Butters, I had the feeling I would like these new lippies, as well.

In comparison to the Revlon Lip Butters, which are opaque and have a rich texture, the L’Oreal Colour Riche Balms are very lightweight in texture and sheerly pigmented.  They are two totally different types of lip products, and both great in their own ways.

When I think about the L’Oreal Colour Riche Balms, I have to say that the concept of having a shiny lip gloss in a tube has been accomplished. It’s light, fresh, pretty, and with a SPF of 15, it definitely gets my official seal of approval. Note to self, need to start working on an actual seal of approval to include in future reviews.

All in all I’m really impressed with the latest and greatest from L’Oreal. Keep up the good work!
