LAQA & CO. Polishes in Plonk and Ankle Biter: Review and Swatches

By Sheila Arkee

When it comes to the case of naming a nail polish brand, I can hardly think of a better one than LAQA & CO. Hello, genius! Originally a line of nail polish pens, LAQA & CO. put their high quality polishes into traditional packaging and added a few new colors.

LAQA & CO. polishes are three free, whicfh means they don’t contain formaldehyde, toluene, TDBP. When applying these polishes I was amazed that really only one coat was necessary. There’s no bubbling and the polish wears extremely well. While there was some typical wear around the tips of my nails, with a basic base coat and top coat I got about four days of chip-free nails.

Ankle Biter is a rich metallic rose gold. I’m not usually a fan of these shades, but I sure was captivated by this particular polish.

And then there’s Plonk, the rich plum that has stolen my heart! This deep red/brown is absolutely gorgeous and will have a place on my pedi for months to come.

The boxes the polishes come in are divine – they are actually designed by up-and-coming artists who get a cut of the profits from each polish sold.

LAQA & CO. polishes retail for $12.50 and can be found online, where you can also find their gift box sets – great ideas for your  favorite fellow beauty junkies.
