After trying and falling in love with LAQA & CO.’s nail polishes recently, I was looking forward to trying their Fat Lip Pencil in Bossy Boots.
LAQA & CO.’s lip pencil is in the same packaging as Revlon’s Lip Just Bitten Lip Balm Stains, which are great because you do not need to sharpen these pencils at all. Simply twist up from the bottom of the pencil when needed.
The texture of this pencil is light and balm-y. Where Revlon’s Lip Butters are heavily pigmented and have a high-shine, LAQA & CO.’s are much more subtle. Although the pencil is described as being buttery, I have to be honest and admit I found the texture to be a bit on the gritty side.
And then there’s the cost of this lip pencil – $20.95. Holy guacamole. I was hoping that was a typo, but unfortunately not. I am all for spending a little bit extra on items that prove to be splurge-worthy, unfortunately I cannot in any way justify the ridiculous price of this pencil. Although the box of this balm has unique artwork that helps the artist that created it, save your money and pick up a few of the Revlon pencils.
