Blush. It’s one of my favorite makeup things, and yet for a very long time in my life I had absolutely no clue what to do with it. True story, and I’m certainly glad that I finally got the hang of applying and using blush because it really helps finish your makeup and give your face a boost. With my skin that ranges on the oily side of the spectrum, it can be challenging to find a brand of blush that wears greater than a couple of hours before disappearing. Nars has been a long-time favorite and now I can add another name to the list of “blushes that won’t wear you down in less than an hour” – Kat Von D Everlasting Shaper Blush.
After hearing tons of great word-of-mouth amongst fellow beauty junkies, I decided to give Kat Von D’s blushes a whirl. It was extremely difficult to choose from 7 shades, but I settled on Heartagram, described as a deep rose, as my first. It was a difficult decision between Heartagram, Por Vida and Bellissima, but I think I made the best choice.
Heartagram has the perfect amount of shimmer for a blush and is extremely pigmented. I mean, extremely – just a dab’ll do it for applying the build-able blush.
Heartagram produces a gorgeous glowy flush with the right amount of shimmer. This paraben-free blush is advertised to last for 24 hours, and although I cannot vouch for that, I can say that it wears through a typically long day.
Needless to say, I’m obsessed and in love!
The verdict? Smooth as butter, bright as day, and wearing long into the day, Heartagram is one of the best blushes I’ve ever used. I want more of the six other shades, stat!
At $25, these are comparable to my other favorite blushes by Nars and are available at Sephora.
