Just Call Me An Inglot Convert

By Sheila Arkee

After being tempted for what seems like ages, I finally took the first steps into a new obsession with Inglot Cosmetics.

This brand from Poland has certainly captured the attention of beauty enthusiasts in the past few years. I am always wary about new brands and somewhere in the back of my mind I feel like it is something that works for everyone else, but probably not for me. Am I alone in this feeling?

To quench my curiosity for this brand, I placed a small order of two shadows and a black gel liner during their Black Friday sale. Now, let me tell you, their website is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate. I was so confused as to what to order, and relied on a variety of Google searches to pick my shadow colors. In the end it was a total shot in the dark, but I ended up happy with my order.

The shadows I purchased are pan-only from their Freedom System. You can buy a palette to accompany your shadows, but my inner cheapskate prevailed and I figured I could stick the shadows in one of my empty Z palettes.

The verdict on my purchase?  Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Let’s start with the liner, which is officially called AMC Eyeliner Gel Matte 78.

Can we say long-wearing? This deserves all the raves it receives for its durability, pigmentation and ease of application. When I say durable, I mean, this stuff  does not come off! Although I thought this was their blackest liner, apparently that’s number 77 and not 78. Boo hiss to their horrible website descriptions! One of the smoothest gel liners I’ve ever used, for sure and I’ll definitely need more colors of this liner.

As far as the shadows go, it’s true love. I’m kicking myself for not purchasing more during the discount period, because they are finely-milled, super pigmented, and the glitter in these shades actually shows up on your lids. I mean, hello! They are gorgeous alone, as seen here, and I can’t wait to try them with some other shadow combinations.

Here is DS 465, which is a shimmery golden brown.

This is AMC 73, a shimmery deep fuschia. Swoon!

There are several Inglot Cosmetics retail stores throughout the U.S.A., and you can also find them online at inglotcosmetics.com. I recommend doing a web search for whatever colors you find intriguing to see if you can find better swatches.

I’ve only used one Inglot gel liner so far but they are terrific. I love the look of your DS465 eyeshadow. If I go to IMATS next year I’ll let you know since they are discounted at the show. (It’s not til June though!!)

I LOVE Inglot and you are right about the website–it’s crazy. You reminded me I probably need to make another order–just ‘cuz. Oh and next time try the blushes!

Yes, ladies! I cannot wait to try more and will for sure make a point to try out the blushes!!!!

The whole reason I haven’t bought from Inglot is the website. I can’t be bothered with it. I would love to try Inglot, but I think I’ll wait for a visit to one of the freestanding stores.

If you enjoyed those then you MUST try their AMC lipgloss (and this is coming from a non lover of lipgloss) and their YSM cream foundation is pretty spiffy too. I’m a fan…just not of the cdn conversion as our only stores are in QC and have extortionist mark up *sigh* I have to wait for my Vegas trips to go nutso on my stock ups.

YAY I love Inglot! I haven’t tried any of their gel liners though, I must get on that.
