Beauty Tips Galore in Jemma Kidd Make-Up Secrets

By Sheila Arkee

As a former model turned celebrity makeup artist, Jemma Kidd has built a veritable beauty empire. Jemma isn’t just a makeup pro, she helms a beauty academy, has developed her own line of products, and just became the author of her second book about beauty.

Jemma Kidd Make-up Secrets, which is available this month, is chock full of tips and tricks for everyone, from the beauty novice to those more familiar with their makeup kit.  From what I’ve seen, this book does a great job making beauty accessible and taking the reader step-by-step through Jemma’s favorite looks. In Part 1,  ”Making Make-Up Work For You”, Jemma deconstructs the beauty process, and in Part 2, ”Problem Solver”, Jemma troubleshoots common concerns such as aging skin, blemishes, and under eye bags.

Jemma shared a look from the book inspired by Audrey Hepburn, and I love how she’s taken the fear out of makeup, showing exactly which products she used and helpful ideas to make the look work for you. To get a better look at the book spreads, you can see the PDF here.

The video tutorial she made for this look is wonderful – this would make a great everyday face.

I happen to adore Audrey Hepburn just as much as Jemma, so I was thrilled to take on this classic and beautiful look.

Add one more item to my wish list – I’m excited about looking through the rest of this book, especially since Jemma is so specific about how the looks are accomplished, which isn’t how beauty books are always done. You can find Jemma Kidd Make-Up Secrets online and at your local book store.

I’ve read her first book and found many great tips and tricks. It’s also just a lovely looking book, the photography is beautiful. It looks really nice as a coffee table type book.

I love your take on Audrey! Very clean and flawless makeup. I was at Target the other day and saw JK’s line on sale.
