As much as I can hardly believe it, we are already into the first week of February, meaning it’s time to share my January 2015 beauty favorites!
There were quite a few products that got my attention in a good way and are still part of my beauty routine. Overall, it was a good month!
First, the Carol’s Daughter Marula Curl Therapy products gave my parched curls new life. I’m loving the Hair Mask a whole lot right now.
Belli Skincare is designed for pregnant women and nursing mothers and is an effective, chemical-free alternative to traditional skincare for the face and body.
Pur Minerals Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact Foundation makes my heart sing. This compact is full of awesome, and I’m loving how it gives flawless, seamless, lightweight coverage.
ColourPop is my current/perpetual obsession and I had fun with some of their products this month. I showed you their Lippie Stix in Grind and Super Shock Shadows in Dare, Lace, and Ibiza. All gorgeous colors that are worth the $5.
I’ve been reach for the Cover FX Anti-Aging Smoothing Eye Primer quite often and it’s become a must have in my makeup routine. I love the way it soothes my under eye area and gives an even canvas before I apply concealer.
CoverGirl XL Nail Gel in Plump It Pear was honestly a big surprise, because I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. However, this is one of the best polishes I’ve ever used. It’s long wearing, offers tons of shine, and comes in an array of pretty colors.
Yes, I finally got my hands on the much touted Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and it really is as good as everyone says. The powders are heavily pigmented and super smooth. Plus, you can swap out the colors and repurchase on the Anastasia website.
SolScents were another pleasant surprise. I really like the soothing scents and lightweight texture, plus the company gives back to charity.
The Michael Todd Soniclear won my heart and then some. Oh, say hello to great skin days! It’s definitely my most used gadget at the moment.
Smashbox HALO Hydrating Perfecting Powder was on my “must try” list for YEARS and it was something I wish I had earlier. It’s another product that receives a lot of applause, and for a good reason. I won’t be without it!
Smashbox had my attention this month, because Smashbox Always Sharp Eyeliners are currently the liners I reach for the most. Creamy eyeliners that don’t fade or transfer are a huge plus!
I’m just about to restock my bottle of Nail Tek Renew Natural Anti-Fungal Cuticle Oil, which is a nail must have.
Cutex Nail Care was another surprise. I underestimated Cutex in a big way, but their newest products are some of the best polish removers I’ve ever used, and for well under $10 they’re the drugstore bargain win of the month.
Ipsy has been on the upswing for the past couple of months, which is a relief because I was *this* close to cancelling. I was really pleased with what I received last month and I’m really looking forward to February’s installment.
The BFTE Cosmetics Valentines Day collection is such a cute little set of colors that was designed to resemble conversation hearts. I’m loving these sweet shades and think they’re a great transition collection from Winter to Spring.
Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks are so, so, so, so great. ColourPop still reigns supreme, but these come in a very close second. At a mere $2.50, it’s worth stocking up on some fun shades that give incredible coverage and color payoff.
What were your favorites from January? Are you still writing 2014 all over the place? It’s a hard habit to break!
