Another month, another Boxycharm beauty box to look forward to. The Boxy Bash Boxycharm box for May 2018 is special for one main reason – it’s the sixth anniversary of Boxycharm!
Over the past several years I’ve seen beauty boxes come and go. Some were forgettable, some were disappointing, some got tiresome, but but none have been as great as Boxycharm.
Costing $21 (which includes shipping!) each month, each Boxycharm beauty box includes 4-5 full sizes of makeup and skincare products from mostly mid-range brands. I’ve never been disappointed with a shipment and do get my $21 value per month, and then some. The value of Boxycharm boxes is always well over $100. Over the years of my subscription I’ve received brushes, bronzers, blushes, lip colors and have been introduced to some great brands.
This sixth anniversary box includes six products, sweet deal! Here’s what was in my special sixth anniversary Boxycharm Boxy Bash beauty box for May 2o18.
PUR Cosmetics Sculptor Palette (retail value $30) – this contains two shimmery highlighting colors and two matte contour powders. The contour colors are a bit dark, so I’ll repurpose them as eyeshadows.
CoverFX Blurring Primer ($38) – it’s been a quick minute since I’ve used anything from CoverFX, and I am a fan of their product line. This primer contains dimethicone which my skin isn’t a fan of, so I’m passing it along to a new loving home.
Pretty Vulgar The Ink Gel Eyeliner ($24) – what great packaging! I’m digging this gel eyeliner, but will admit I kind of wish it was packaged in a clear container so its easy to see what’s going on inside.
Aesthetica 3 Piece Eye Trio ($45) – not gonna lie, the greatest part about Boxycharm are the great makeup brushes that have entered my collection! I’m a fan of Aesthetica brushes and will get great use out of the spoolie, eyeliner brush and angled brow brush.
Aesthetica P12 Face Brush ($27) – This is a synthetic powder brush and the kind of brush I love to use to apply powder foundation, like one of my favorites from IT Cosmetics.
Han Skin Care Lip Gloss ($15) – It’s been a while since I’ve used anything from Han Skin Care Cosmetics, but I’m a fan! This is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand that sources pigments from completely natural sources, including fruits and vegetables. This color, Raspberry Chardonnay, is a bright and cheerful berry I’ll get lots of use out of.
My Final Thoughts: Hip hip hooray and many congratulations to Boxycharm for this milestone anniversary. This box never bores me!
