Is Wet N Wild’s Fergie Centerstage Photo Op Eyeshadow in Desert Festival Shadow Set A Cause For Celebration?

By Sheila Arkee

The words “Wet n Wild” and “eyeshadow” tend to elicit a very favorable response from this eye makeup junkie. Boasting extreme pigmentation with easy blendability,Wet n Wild’s eyeshadows have earned a favored place in my makeup collection over the past couple of years.

When pop star (and former member of Kids Incorporated - I used to love that show!) Fergie teamed up with Wet n Wild to release a collection of lipsticks, nail polishes, bronzers/highlighters, and eyeshadow sets, of course I had to have a piece of the action.

There are four shadow sets with five shadows each, and the one that caught my eye is Desert Festival.

These shadows, which range from shimmery to matte, are just my cup of tea, True to the reputation of Wet n Wild’s shadows, the dark brown and matte orange shade are incredibly pigmented. However, the two lightest shades – the light champagne and shimmery orange  – are just horrible. The pigmentation is nil and I have to really dig in the pan to get any kind of color on my brush. What happened Wet n Wild?

Besides the two light shadow disasters, these shadows really are quite lovely and with a price tag of around $6, I still call this set a winner.

You can find Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage products at Walgreens stores.

WOW- what a gorgeous EOTD, Sheila. It’s too bad that the two light colors are horrible, but wowza on the remaining three!!!!!!!!

I picked this palette up yesterday. I wonder if you got a bad one? My light peach is buttery and shimmery and super pigmented. The lightest one is meh, but should be a decent enough transitional color.

Also the lightest blush/bronzer is an amazing highlighter.
