As a shameless fan of the Kardashian sisters, I eagerly anticipated the release of their makeup collection, Khroma Beauty. And when I say eagerly anticipated, I mean I went all kinds of fan girl at my local Ulta and asked several people to help me find a Khloe’s Kardazzle Palette from an already picked over display.
Why Khloe’s palette versus Kim’s or Kourtney’s? Well, not only is Khloe my favorite Kardashian, but from what I could tell it seemed the most versatile. I have to say that the available photos of the three palettes aren’t a great representation of what you actually receive -the colors are not as dark in reality.
Khloe’s Kardazzle Face Palette is a gorgeous collection of neutral shades with 8 shadows, 2 blushes, and 1 highlighter. I was surprised by the size – it’s compact and fits into the palm of my hand. Perfectly portable!
The shadows consist of 4 mattes from cream, brown, to grey.
And there are 4 shimmery shadows from gold, amber, and sable.
The blushes and highlighter are beautiful – one neutral brown-toned blush to use as a contour, a brighter pop of peach and a gorgeous gold to use on the high planes of your cheeks, down the middle of your nose, and as a brow bone highlight.
The pigmentation in the blushes and shadows is impressive, with the best color payoff coming from the matte shades. I think the quality of the shimmery shades could be a little bit better – the lightest gold barely picks up and I found the best application was with the pads of my fingers or with a damp brush. The winning colors in the palette are the mattes, the peach blush, and the gold highlighter, which has totally captured my attention at the moment.
Khloe’s Kardazzle Face Palette is a nice selection of shimmery and matte neutral colors that retails at $12.99. You can find Khloe’s Kardazzle palette and the rest of the Khroma Beauty collection at your local Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, Sears and online.
