If You Love Glitter, e.l.f. Glitter Primer is a MUST Have!

By Sheila Arkee

There are certain occasions in my makeup loving life where find a product so completely amazing I can barely stand the excitement. That is exactly how I feel about e.l.f.’s Glitter Primer, which is something I believe everyone who uses glitter must own!

Although I can’t quite recall how I found this primer in the first place, it’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while and haven’t been able to find in any of my local Target stores.  Priced at just $2, it’s $18 less expensive than Too Face Glitter Glue, another primer I’ve wanted to try for a while. There are a lot of primers on my “to try” list!

The concept behind both the e.l.f. and Too Faced products is the same: apply a layer of the smooth primer on your eyelid, tap on the glitter before the primer has set, and don’t worry about a thing!

My results with e.l.f.’s Glitter Glue are fabulous – it sure is a relief to not worry about any glitter fall out whatsoever and to know your glitter will glow for hours on end. The glitter I wore for the official Painted Ladies testing day, as seen in the photo above, is MAC’s Refined Pearl, a long time favorite.  For a look I threw together in a couple of minutes I sure got tons of compliments on my shimmery eyes. The glitter lasted all day and way into the evening when I was even told it looked like I’d just applied my makeup. It isn’t a pain to remove at all, which is another huge plus.

My Final Thoughts: This $2 tube of amazing is a must have for anyone who uses glitter. A must!

Wow, I love that! I’ve never heard of this product but it probably also works great with pigments… I’m so messy and clumsy when I work with pigments they end up all over my face. Gotta invest the $2 for this :)

That’s awesome! I’ll definitely be needing something to hold the glitter for my Halloween look!

All that for $2? Phenomenal. Without it, there’s no doubt your nose and cheeks would have been dusted with twinkle.

    I’m headed over to elf!

Now, all I need is Refined Pearl. 😉

Can I see a swatch of it alone?

Oh, it’s primer FOR glitter, not a glittery primer.

I wonder how it compares to Pixie Epoxy.

I need to get my mitts on this. And I agree with Phyrra. Glitter is good. :)

That is genius. Glitter is so much more work than regular pigments and I find regular primer doesn’t do the trick. I would love to give this a go.
