If you’ve been following Painted Ladies for any length of time and you’re aware of my makeup of the day pictures, various lip swatches and the actual state of my lips as they are, you might think this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever done!
Actually, there are many silly things I’ve done in the name of beauty blogging, and this is the least! I’ll explain why I decided it was time to plump my lips with a handheld lip vacuum.
It’s that upper lip – I’m looking forward to see what the PMD Kiss Smart Lip Plumping system will do for the overall fullness and if it will address those wrinkles at the vermillion border of my top lip – that is, the place where your lips meet the rest of your skin. Whenever I do lip swatches with darker lip colors I have to admit I’m entirely self conscious because things aren’t as smooth as they were in my 20’s!
I haven’t felt the need to go the route of injectables, and to be perfectly honest the thought of needles anywhere near my face freaks me out. I do know at some point I’ll have to get over this fear, but for now I’m trying any and every alternative including the nifty PMD Kiss.
The PMD Beauty Kiss Lip Plumping System comes with a serum, additional rubber cap for the device, and a USB cord to recharge the device.
First, you apply the enclosed Lip Plumping Serum onto clean dry lips. It has a dry, not glossy texture. Next, you turn the power button on and apply the device firmly and directly onto your lips so there’s a tight seal. You use the PMD Kiss on 6 sections of your lips as shown on a handy instructional video you can find on the website. Let the PMD Kiss pulse 15-20 times on each section of your lips – the device is a bit on the loud side and you can hear it working.
You can use the device whenever you want. The effects are temporary, but over time the device is supposed to help stimulate collagen production and you will see a permanent improvement in the fullness of your lips along with a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Last night was my first time of using the device and it was extremely easy. My device already came with a charge, so all I had to do was place the device on my lips and let it work it’s magic. The feeling isn’t painful at all – just a light suction, but you have to get used to positioning it on your lips correctly.
I’ll be using the PMD Kiss nightly and will be sharing the second part of this journey in October and you’ll see the final results. If you’re interested in giving the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System (retail value $139) a try for yourself, use code PRIMP20 for 20% off of your purchase.
