When it comes to recent makeup favorites, I have to admit I’ve been enjoying the Jordana Sculpt N’ Go and Glow N’ Go Sticks I recently featured a whole lot. Not only are they easy to use, the shade selection is excellent and they don’t disappear on my normal-to-oily skin. In fact, I like them so much I created a video tutorial of my current foundation routine and incorporated these lovely sticks.
When it comes to my foundation routine, the actual foundation I use varies by the look I’m going for, but ultimately the steps you’ll see in this video makeup tutorial remain the same.
I apply this with the sponge that comes in the compact and sometimes I’ll buff out the foundation with a foundation brush. This and the PUR Cosmetics foundation I reviewed earlier this week are my two go-to’s. The IT foundation is great for everyday.
Depending on my dark circle situation, sometimes I’ll layer this lightweight concealer on top of CoverFX Cream Concealer, but the Veil Cosmetics works well enough on its own to lift up my dark circles.
These are so easy to use and I cherish these sticks.
This stick came in my most recent Sephora Play and it’s a gorgeous, natural flush that you can use on eyes, cheeks, and lips.
I’m seriously hooked on this powder – it works so very well and keeps my foundation, concealer and any other cream products firmly in place. As far as the tools I’m using in the video, I’m using a Real Techniques Face Brush to blend the contour, the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, a Sedona Lace brush that was in my most recent Boxycharm, and a generic powder puff I got on eBay.
This routine varies slightly from one makeup application to the next, but for the most part all of these steps remain the same. If you’ll notice, I’m not using a foundation primer. Sometimes I’ll wear a primer, but sometimes I don’t and I can’t even tell you why!
