How To Get The Most Out Of Beauty Trade Shows
I’m in the midst of preparations for the upcoming The Makeup Show LA and I realized this is a great opportunity to share how to get the most out of beauty trade shows.
Beauty trade shows such as Beautycon and Ipsy’s Gen Beauty have become big deals in the last several years and they’re fantastic opportunities for beauty professionals and beauty lovers to get together, save money on product, buy tons of product and learn from various seminars that are presented throughout the events. While fun, beauty events can also be overwhelming! I’ve attended many trade shows throughout my beauty (and non-beauty) industry career and have learned a few tips and tricks to make the day go smooth, enjoyable and not leave you worn out at the end of the day. I’ll also share more about this look!
Tip 1: Hydration And Snacks Are KEY!
Concessions at trade shows tend to be on the pricey side, so I suggest preparing in advance with protein bars, hard boiled eggs and nuts you can keep on hand and snack on as needed. Keep a hydro flask on hand and take water breaks as needed.
Tip 2: Plan Accordingly
Check out the floor plan of event vendors and seminars before hand and make a list of which you want to visit. Also, budget accordingly – it’s easy to get carried away when you see such great prices on so many awesome products, but keep in mind what you might really need and avoid credit card shock! Make sure to take note of inflated prices for food and parking prices, which can be up there!
Beauty trade shows can be intense, but they are fun and I definitely recommend them for any beauty lover – take these tips from mama Sheila and prepare in advance and you’ll have a fantastic time! The Makeup Show is open to makeup lovers as well as makeup pros and it’s coming up in Los Angeles and cities around the USA.
