The Dermaflage products featured in this post were provided for editorial consideration. All opinions are 100% my own.
Dermaflage is a makeup company with quite an unique twist. This innovative company creates products that work across a whole range of concerns, which include beauty, special effect and editorial. I’ve used their products in the past and am fascinated by the quality and effectiveness of their makeup offerings. Needless to say, I was very happy to recently receive some makeup products from them to perfect my skin. I have a color corrector palette, a concealer palette, a mixing medium and mineral powder to share with you.
Dermaflage products are sold both online and at professional makeup stores like Nigels and Frends. Dermaflage is used by professional makeup artists who work on television shows and movies with products that fill in scars and wrinkles and create scars and different effects as needed. They also have makeup products that are fantastic for the every makeup user, like Today I’m going to show you how to conceal and cover skin with Dermaflage.
Remember when the beauty community was ALL about color correcting? It’s still a very useful makeup technique and I like using products like the Dermaflage Behind The Scenes Color Corrector ($29.95). This palette contains five highly pigmented tones that are long lasting and water resistant. The way you use color correctors is after foundation and before concealer. You use the purple tone sallow areas of your skin to brighten it up. The green tone is for red areas, the yellow is great for cancelling out redness in blemishes and the peachy tones are what you need to put under your eyes to cancel out darkness.
The Behind The Scenes Concealer Palette ($29.95) is super handy to have. I love that you can mix and match colors as needed. This is the palette in Light/Medium. It’s also available in other shades. These concealers are long-wearing, smudge proof, waterproof and have a matte finish. I can attest to the fact that this is all true!
Everyone needs a mixing medium in their makeup life! The Dermaflage Liquify Mixing Medium ($12.95) can be used with the mineral powder to create a liquid foundation. You can also use it with the concealer and color correcting palettes to make them a bit easier to work with. Just use a couple of drops and blend away. You can also use a mixing medium to brighten up your eyeshadow – read more here!
The Dermaflag eMade In The Shade Mineral Foundation SPF 26 ($24.95) impressed me more than I thought! I love that the sifter can be closed and opened as needed, which helps eliminate a lot of mess. This powder is full coverage and water resistant and gives a matte finish to skin.
I used the peach tone from the color corrector palette here, mixed a couple of shades from the concealer palette and set it with the powder for this before and after.
My Final Thoughts: Dermaflage products are excellent quality and have earned their stellar reputation. I’m really enjoying these products!
