Hourglass Cosmetics is just one of many stellar brands that caught my attention in 2011. For the most part I find Hourglass to provide well-performing products that are unique from many other products on the mass market.
Gina Brooke, Madonna’s makeup artist, is the Artistic Director for Hourglass and she’s come up with a few good ideas for Winter makeup involving Hourglass Illume Crème-to-Powder Bronzer Duo in Bronze Light and their Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss in Fortune.
You wouldn’t think a bronzer/illuminator duo would work in cold temps, but on the contrary it provides a gorgeous glow and perfectly luminous skin.
As with all Hourglass products, you have to adore the unique packaging, which includes a swiveling mirror.
With my normal-to-oily skin I assumed it would pull a quick disappearing act. I was delightfully suprised to find the bronzer to give great color without making me look orange. This is going in my purse for touchups when needed.
Fortune lipgloss comes in an oblong container with a brush applicator.
The texture is light, completely non-sticky, and long-wearing. Such a pretty pink!
You can find Hourglass at Sephora and Hourglasscosmetics.com.
