Over the last few weeks I’ve been cleaning up and konmari-ing my blog, my beauty stash, my clothes, my paperwork and my entire life! It’s been a great experience and I’m coming across things that are and are not sparking joy. As I was cleaning a beauty cabinet, I took out my Hold Me Bag, which I do use quite often since I first reviewed it in 2014.
Looking back at the original post from five years ago is quite interesting! Things have changed so much – I wasn’t using a lighting system at all and I had some interesting camera angles. It’s all about changing things up and I do appreciate the journey I’ve been on creatively.
With that being said, I did think it would be fun to do a “then and now” type of review. How do I like the Hold Me Bag now?
I do use the bag often for trips and it’s been a very useful way to transport my makeup brushes, makeup and toiletries. Back then I didn’t quite like the string that holds the bag together. It’s meant to call to mind an old school way of carrying books. I still agree with that sentiment! I don’t hate it, but I wish a clasp was involved somewhere!
The Hold Me Bag is made of vegan materials, and as I mentioned originally, it’s indeed easy to clean. I’ve had a couple of interior spills that haven’t been disastrous. I do like the separate brush holder and I do like that there is a separator in the main bag that I use to divide and conquer toiletries from makeup.
The verdict? The Hold Me Bag is a keeper that’s stood the test of time and being battered by a beauty blogger!
You can find the Hold Me Bag online where it’s available in a variety of interior prints and three sizes: Original (the one in this post, holds 12 brushes, $85), the Middle Sister Bag (8 brushes, $75), and the Sister Bag (6 brushes, $65.)
