After talking to Galit Strugano, founder of Girlactik Beauty, I was eager to try out some of the products that she’s devoted so much time developing. Girlactik products have great word of mouth amongst makeup artists, and the products are being used on this season of Dancing With The Stars.
My first impressions of the products I tried were positive. The packaging is beautiful – the chome-like containers are lightweight, but sophisticated. Looking at the background of this blog, it’s obvious I’m a huge sucker for the damask patterns Galit features on the products. Even the boxes Girlactik products come in are adorable with a brown background and pink damask accents.
Here are my thoughts on a few select Girlactik products:
This product gets especially good word of mouth around the block. In terms of the tinted moisturizers I’ve tried, this one has a nice, thick texture, feels fresh on my skin, gives even coverage, and is long-lasting. This tinted moisturizer also happens to have anti-aging properties with anti-oxidants from green and white tea and is pleasantly scented with rose water fragrance.
Nothing bad to say here about the moisturizer itself, but I do think the cap of the bottle could be a little less lightweight. I’m afraid it’s going to break at some point, which I wouldn’t want to happen!
Right of the bat, this concealer gets big props because it has a pink base, which is perfect for concealing darkness under the eyes. The concealer happens to have a great texture, gives good coverage, and I’m a fan of the doe foot applicator.
Silky and gorgeous and highly pigmented. Enough said! I’m in love with the shadows and highly recommend Golda, which is an amazingly gorgeous gold that would look good on everyone.
I tested the shade Cabo, which is a matte, non-orangey, non-shimmery long-lasting powder bronzer, which is a rarity! A fantastic option for people looking for a really good, basic bronzer, and it gets my seal of approval.
The shade is a gorgeous rose (and happens to be called Rose!), but unfortunately the texture is a bit too light for my liking. I think this could work with people who have dry skin, but unfortunately it did not last on me for very long. I need a little more heft with my cream blushes!
Overall, I’m impressed with the Girlactik products I’ve tried. If you’re in the market for a tinted moisturizer, the Skin Tint Moisturizer is definitely worth checking out! Their Star Glosses are next on my list to try out!
