Out of all the blush varieties I’ve ever tried in my life, I have to say that I love Nars blushes with my very heart and soul. They outlast other brands like no one’s business, and it is pretty impressive that they last all the live long day on my normal-to-oily skin.
At $40 a pop for Nars brand blush/bronzer duos, I couldn’t help but snatch up a $3 dupe of the Orgasm/Laguna duo by elf Cosmetics. Could this elf duo – which looks pretty much exactly like the more expensive Nars version - prove itself as a worthwhile dupe? Its even packaged just like a Nars blush, but without the annoying rubbery outer covering.
My thoughts? For $3, it’s not half bad.
Although the texture is nice and smooth, I found that the colors were not as heavily pigmented as the Nars versions that I’ve used in the past. On my skin, the blush showed up a lot more gold than the peach I get with Nars Orgasm. Be careful with the bronzer -it would be easy to get a muddy result if applied with a heavy hand. Alas, the lasting power was not quite as impressive as Nars products, which truly wear like iron.
I would give this product a rating of 3/5 stars. For $3, it’s not a half bad dupe for a $39 product, so if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Nars’ Orgasm/Laguna duo, I say go forth and purchase!

A lot of people seem to like this product from all of the elf chatter I have read on sites like MakeupAlley. I wonder if it would stay better on drier skin?
Deb – I think it would def. work on drier skin, and also the pink might show up better on someone with lighter skin.
You look totally ravishing in this picture, by the way!
Why thank you, Monika! I need to start wearing darker lips more often!
