Glowy Goodness Guaranteed From Wet n Wild’s Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow

By Sheila Arkee

Baked cosmetics are intriguing to me and yet I approach them with the preconceived notion that they will never, ever work on my pigment-absorbing skin. Call it a bad egg spoiling the dozen, but a couple of less-than-desireable experiences a while ago have hopelessly branded baked cosmetics as “no goodniks”. And yet, I am forever proven wrong, managing to fall hopelessly in love with some really great baked cosmetics as of late. Like Wet n Wild’s To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow.

Another part of the collaboration with pop star Fergie, I couldn’t resist picking one up when Painted Lady Wendy mentioned it in a recent comment.

This highlighter/blush is a beautiful blend of pink, peach, and light orange tones that can be used wet or dry. On my skin, it’s a lovely shimmery pink that is indeed a worthy baked cosmetic item.

If you’ve ever used MAC’s Mineralized Skin Finishes, I think the texture of Wet n Wild’s is a bit harder, however the pigmentation is the same. The wearing power of this is impressive, and it won’t pull a disappearing act when you least expect in.

The title of this blush is actually Rose with an accent on the “e”, and whenever I think “Rose-ahy”, I automatically think of Lisa Vanderpump talking about wine on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Yes, I admit to my taste in staged reality television. But no, I won’t be watching Vanderpump Rules. Will you?

You can find Wet n Wild’s collaboration with Fergie at Walgreens. This product was about $6.50 at my local Walgreens, which is a pretty fabulous price for a great baked highlighter.

It’s so hard to find a drugstore highlighter. I absolutely love this product.

I wish drugstores had more highlighters. This one I noticed had some glitter in it, but I picked it up to try anyway :)

I think you’ll like it a lot, Virginia! Let’s hope this is a permanent fixture to the Wet n Wild line.
