After receiving the May Glossybox curated for beauty bloggers, I wasn’t expecting to receive the June edition, so oh, what a pleasant surprise to find the very thing on my doorstep.
As usual, the sturdy pink box that houses the monthly samples is absolutely gorgeous. I think Glossybox would do quite well if they sold these separately!
And now for the contents of the beautifully constructed box. Last month’s box contained entirely full-size products, and it was disappointing to find out that forthcoming boxes would only have one full-sized item. On a non-related issue, many Glossybox subscribers had major payment issues, being charged multiple times for their $21 monthly purchase, which is entirely uncool.
The June box contains one full-sized mascara, two skin care samples, one hair care sample, a perfume sample, and a shave cream.
The contents include the following:
Beauty Addicts Show Off Mascara ($21) – So far so good with this curved-brush mascara.
First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream (Full Size $16.50)
Kinerase Restructure Firming Cream (Full Size $98)
Shea Terra Organics Body Cream (Full Size $18)
Wella Professionals Enrich Moisturizing Treatment (Full Size $12) – I used this on my son’s sun parched hair and it actually helped it a lot – his golden brown locks (lucky duck) are silky smooth again!
A Perfume Organic Sample – Arrived half-full (also how I see my cup).
Is the box worth $21? Well, given the cost of the mascara and the generously sized samples, I would say its a fair trade. However, I really am so very tired of skin care samples and would have loved to have seen at least one color cosmetic product in the mix somewhere. I know it’s hard to package color products for samples, but … I cannot say that I would purchase the Glossybox if it hadn’t been provided for editorial consideration.

Great review! Way too many small samples for a $21.00 price tag!!
