It seems almost impossible that we’re upon the New Year … that is, of course, if we make it through the end of the Mayan calendar in a few weeks! I suspect we will make in through December 21, 2012, in which case it’s about that time to think about making annual resolutions to improve our selves.
Here are some ways you can make effective and positive changes that will last the beyond the first few weeks of the year.
- Write down your goals and post them in a high-traffic location, like your bathroom mirror. Looking at your goals on a regular basis is a great motivator!
- Find an accountability buddy. It is so nice to have someone to check in with if you’re trying to lose weight or start a gym routine.
- Be nice to yourself! It takes time to make changes, don’t beat yourself up if you find yourself on a plateau.
There are permanent changes you can make to your appearance, like rhinoplasty, and there are also less invasive options like tooth whitening or simply changing up your makeup every now and then. In any case, taking baby steps with any kind of change ensures success.
