Get Your Summer Bronze On With NYX Cosmetics!

By Sheila Arkee

With rising temps and longer days, it’s safe to say that Summer is fully in session. NYX Cosmetics makes it easier than ever to get some great color without risking damaging sun rays with a slew of new bronzing options.

From mattes to subtle shimmers, creams to silky powder, NYX has it totally covered when it comes to products that will give your face and body a gorgeous glow, and all for under $10! I am all about tans that come from cans (or in this case, mostly compacts) so these are all right up my alley.

Tango With Bronzing Stix ($8)

A grab, dab, and go product, these are so easy to use and won’t slip and slide all over the place. Perfect for drier skin tones, these sticks can be used to highlight on your face and also give your body some shimmering, lasting color. These sticks come in four shades, I tried Bronzy Lambada and Tango and Highlight.

Bronzer &  Blush Combo ($9)

Available in 5 shades, this bronzer and blush duo makes it easy to cut cheekbones and and add color to the apples of your cheeks. Here is Phi Phi Island.

And here’s Sunrise in Bali.

Body Bronzer ($9)

Let’s talk super cute packaging with an even cuter graphic! However this is more than just a pretty case, it’s a non-shimmery, non-orangey bronzer that you can use on your arms, face, and legs and apply with the ever handy powder puff. It matches and enhances my arms perfectly.

Matte Bronzer ($9)

Oooh, yes. What the beauty world needs is more matte bronzers for contouring and generally glowing without looking like a disco ball. Not that that’s a bad thing.  NYX has options in 5 shades ranging from Light to Deep Tan. In the photos below you can see Light and Medium.

Illuminating Body Bronzer ($9)

Available in 3 shades these bronzers diffuse light and to help make your skin look softer and lighter. I love the shade Chaotic for the cheeks, so pretty with subtle glimmer.

Tango With Bronzing Powder ($10)

These fun mosiac powders come in 5 combinations and are meant to be swirled together to add a natural-looking glow to your skin. They are suitable for your face and body and include a brush in the lower compartment.

When Leopard Gets a Tan looks extremely similar to Too Faced’s Pink Leopard, however NYX’s version is much less shimmery – NYX”s version is on the right side of the swatch photo.

Here’s Confessions of Tanaholic.

That’s a whole lotta bronzing options! Of all these products, my favorites are the Tango With Bronzer Stix, the Matte Bronzers, and the Illuminating Face and Body Bronzers.

In the photos for my recent Breaking Down Beauty I’m wearing the Matte Bronzer in Medium with the Illuminating Bronzer in Chaotic.

You can find NYX products online at nyxcosmetics.com and at Ulta.

I need to check these out esp that confessions of a tanoholic! My ulta needs to stay on top of their testers though, It seems every tester in the store is either completely pan or the product is a dried out mess and completely unswatchable. BTW saw some guerlain bronzers at TJ Maxx for 39.99 over the weekend but couldn’t be bothered to find someone to open the locked plastic thingie!

Oooh these look great! I was looking for something similar to my Laura Geller Body Frosting which is 45 bucks a pop,and the Nyx body bronzer looks like a good dupe.Even the little buffer pad thingy looks the same as in the Laura Geller compact,I will have to check these out:)
