When people with bad brows change their ways, it’s a story that needs to be celebrated. I should know, because I used to be one! After spending too many years with brows that looked like this:
I fully embrace thicker, healthier brows and love using products that make mine look their best. Can I get an enthusiastic, AMEN, for better brows?
Lately I’ve been loving Elke Von Freudenberg’s The Elke Collection Waterproof Sketch Stick Brow Pencil in Brunette, a dual-ended brow product that comes with the liner on one end and an angled brush on the other end.
While I always brush my brows out with a spoolie after penciling them in, the angled brush is a stroke of genius that allows you to really blend the brow color. The liner itself is sturdy, not waxy, and allows you to sketch in individual brow hairs or fill in with wider strokes.
Although you don’t need to add any extra brow color when using the Sketch Stick, I’ve been using the angled brush to add and blend in a little extra powder right on top of the pencil.
Besides the fact that you won’t sweat your brows off, the best part about this pencil is the color. It’s a great neutral brown that won’t pull funny colors, which is a huge plus. Besides Brunette, shades include Blondie and Dirty Blonde.
As a professional makeup artist and beauty blogger Elke Von Freudenberg knows a thing or two about eyebrows. Elke took her knack for sculpting a perfect brow on photo shoots and commercial sets and opened an acclaimed brow salon in New York City that’s frequented by celebs and mentioned in magazines such as InStyle, Brides and New Beauty. The Brow Collection is Elke’s newest venture and contains all the ingredients you need to shape your brows at home.
My Final Thoughts: Having formerly been brow challenged, I appreciate all products that keep my brows looking their best. The Elke Brow Collection Waterproof Sketch Stick is one such product that keeps my brows filled in, shapely, and stays in place for 8 hours plus.
Availability: The Elke Brow Collection is available in her salon in NYC, online at www.elkevonfreudenberg.com and at select retail outlets.
