It’s an established fact that I am highly unable to say no to any kind of highlighter that comes across my path. Highlighters in any for are awesome, and I love enhancing my makeup look with some kind of shimmery cream, liquid or powder product. The most recent acquisition to my collection are elf Power Glow Liquid Highlighters in Gold and Rose Gold.
You have to give it to elf Cometics for always keeping on trend and doing so pretty well at prices that don’t cost a pretty penny. The elf Power Glow Liquid Highlighters are $6 each and are dispensed in pump top containers.
These highlighters are lightweight and easy to work with, blending on skin with nary a problem.
Did you know “dewy dumpling” skin was a thing these days??? I didn’t know until recently, and recommend reading this article to get the details on how this started out. It’s a trend I can totally get behind and these liquid highlighters are just the product to help achieve a fresh, lit-from-within glow.
I like liquid highlighters because they’re so multi functional. You can use them on bare skin, mixed in with foundation, or on top of foundation after you set it with powder. Read this post on strobing for all my tips on successful highlighting. For this makeup look I mixed elf Power Glow Liquid Highlighters in Gold and Rose Gold and blended them on top of my cheekbones both before and after I applied foundation.
The Shayla x ColourPop Perception Pressed Powder Shadow palette is quite irresistible, so I used a few colors to create a sunset inspired orange and pink eye look to go along with the elf Power Glow Liquid Highlighters.
I also used elf Brushed Copper Liquid eyeshadow on the inner lids of my eyes and finished the look with Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens in Matte Mulberry (on top) and RoseGlow (bottom). On my lips are elf Metallic Lip Crayon in Magnetic Mauve and Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Lipgloss in Backtalk.
My Final Thoughts: elf Power Glow Liquid Highlighters are really quite nice and give great glow for just $6 each.
