Oh, hey elf Cosmetics! I can always count on elf to bring out the latest and greatest and was really glad to be able to give the new elf Cosmetics Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks a whirl.
Lip glosses are making a reappearance in the beauty world, and I don’t see liquid lipsticks going anywhere anytime soon. That’s just more to love, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
You know what I really appreciate about elf Cosmetics? They stay on top of trends and give beauty lovers the opportunity to try out new products without breaking the bank. These lipsticks are all of $5 a piece!
But are they any good? There are some definite pros and cons to the new elf Cosmetics Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks.
What I’m enjoying about the elf Cosmetics Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks include the texture, colors, and applicator. These metal lip colors are smooth operators! They’re very easy to apply, dry down quickly and feel weightless on my lips. I do like this type of applicator for applying matte liquid lipsticks -the hole in the middle ensures you’re not going to glop too much product on your lips, and the tip lets you get into the corners and contour of your lips with ease.
Plus, these colors are all lovely.

What I’m not enjoying about the elf Cosmetics Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks is one thing in specific, which is the smell! I don’t have the best sense of smell so when I can detect a strong plastic-y fragrance you know there’s something to be aware of. It does fade away after applying the color to my lips, which is a good thing. These aren’t long-wearing lip colors, which must be noted.
My Final Thoughts: elf Cosmetics Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks are worth checking out if you’re in the mood for some metallic lip color fun. They do have a bit of a plastic chemical smell, so if you’re averse to that you might want to avoid.
